In about a month’s time the church will be open again.
It will have been Re-ordered and have a very different look and feel. Our Open Day was a chance to showcase some of the changes and we received lots of favourable comments and some useful suggestions.
We have also received further generous support for our plans and can announce that we have sufficient funds to complete the building work. A few other small improvements are in planning so we are almost there…. Quite an achievement in a little over two years of fundraising.
At the Open Day
The font has been moved to a more central position
Fixtures and fittings have been put in place
One of the ancient ledger stones – re-discovered and now set in the new floor… not under it.
James Elliott, of Richard III reknown, has advised us on the floor and the care of the ledger stones.
The most recent work has been plastering and the start of redecorating the whole church
