Ride and Stride to support Rutland and Northamptonshire Historic Churches on Saturday 9 September!
The Sheriff’s Chaplain cannot ride with the Sheriff on Bank Holiday Monday so Christopher Armstrong, our Priest-in-Charge, will ride out from The Exeter Arms, Barrowden at 1.00pm on 9 September for a moderate Bike Ride which befits both old and young.
He will aim to cover the 6 churches in the Welland-Fosse Benefice and any more that the posse might feel moved to take in. So why not join this priestly posse? All are welcome! Children should be accompanied by a parent.
If however, your cycling days are over and you would still like to support, then why not sponsor The Sheriff’s Chaplain for a shilling or two? Sign-up forms are to be found at the back of all our churches. Money raised will be split between our Benefice Churches and the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust.

Exceptionally, this Sunday 1 January, there is just ONE church service in our group of parishes. It is at St Mary’s Church Duddington at 11am, and will be led by The Very Reverend Christopher Armstrong. Everyone is very welcome at this service of Holy Communion, whether you live in Duddington or any of our other parishes.
A Happy New Year to you!
Raise the Roof for Peterborough Area Down’s Syndrome Group, which will be singing in Duddington Church at 3pm on Sunday 4 December.
This is a light-hearted and relaxed afternoon of carols and popular seasonal songs with Youngsters of the Group and Singing for Fun – and you can join in!
All are welcome. FREE admission, but there is a retiring collection.
