Ride and Stride to support Rutland and Northamptonshire Historic Churches on Saturday 9 September!
The Sheriff’s Chaplain cannot ride with the Sheriff on Bank Holiday Monday so Christopher Armstrong, our Priest-in-Charge, will ride out from The Exeter Arms, Barrowden at 1.00pm on 9 September for a moderate Bike Ride which befits both old and young.
He will aim to cover the 6 churches in the Welland-Fosse Benefice and any more that the posse might feel moved to take in. So why not join this priestly posse? All are welcome! Children should be accompanied by a parent.
If however, your cycling days are over and you would still like to support, then why not sponsor The Sheriff’s Chaplain for a shilling or two? Sign-up forms are to be found at the back of all our churches. Money raised will be split between our Benefice Churches and the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust.

We are excited to tell you that the new Barrowden Church Crèche will soon be up and running!
Starting from 23rd April 2017, the crèche will run on the 4th Sunday of each month in Barrowden Rectory, while parents attend the Service in Barrowden Church just a few steps away (the service starts at 11am).
The creche is open to children up to/including 5 years old, we will have different activities each month along with toys and books – lots to keep the little ones entertained! So please feel free to drop your children with us while you enjoy the service (child free!) safe in the knowledge that they will be having lots of fun.
If you have any questions about the creche, please contact Beth Butler on 01572 748 606.
