The Welland-Fosse Benefice: Prayers and Notices.

 Sunday 16^th February 2020: 2^rd Before Lent

Please remember in your prayers those who are sick:  Brian, Joe, Pat Simmonds, Ray Kilsby, Christine Garland, Barry Broughton and Robin Rowland.

Pray too for the departed: Peter Leach, Ted Bailey and Evelyn Bramley.

In our wider prayers we remember the Deanery of Daventry and its Rural Dean, Mary Garbutt.

Our Lent book, ‘Care for God’s Creation’ is now available, £1.99. Ask your wardens or Parish Book Agent for a copy today as Lent begins on 26 February.

Ash Wednesday is on 26 February.  The Benefice Service is at Barrowden, 7.30pm. Please come so that we can begin Lent together.

BARROWDEN:

There will be a Lent lunch in St Peter’s on Tuesday, 3 March from 12 o’clock with delicious homemade soup.  All proceeds to go to Shelter.

 

Date for your diary: 23 April– Open Day at Red Kite House, Barrowden, 10 am – 4.00 pm.  Silk scarves, cake and produce stall.  £5 to include tea and cake.  Proceeds from entrance fee and raffle to be donated to church funds.

 

MORCOTT:

We thank Tanya for playing the organ again, in Astrid’s absence. Tanya is also selling this year’s Lent book at £2.

SOUTH LUFFENHAM:

Next Sunday Holy Communion 9.30am.

Still Time every Monday 5.30-6pm in Church.

Advance notice – RCC coffee van to visit South Luffenham on the 1st Monday of each month. More details to follow.
