The Sunday Next Before Lent

Please remember in your prayers those who are sick:  Pat Simmonds, Ray Kilsby, Barry Broughton and Robin Rowland.

Pray too for the departed: Peter Leach, Ted Bailey and Leonard Garton.

Remember also in your prayers our sheep farmers who start lambing this week.

In our wider prayers we remember the Deanery of Greater Northampton and its Rural Dean, Beverley Hollins.

Ash Wednesday is on 26 February.  The Benefice Service is at Barrowden, 7.30pm. Please come so that we can begin Lent together.

BARROWDEN:

Tuesday, 3 March: Lent lunch in St Peter’s 12 noon – 2.00 pm.  Delicious homemade soup.  All proceeds from donations to go to Shelter.

Date for your diary: 23 April– Open Day at Red Kite House, Barrowden, 10 am – 4.00 pm.  Silk scarves, cake and produce stall.  £5 to include tea and cake.  Proceeds from entrance fee and raffle to be donated to church funds.

SOUTH LUFFENHAM:

Monday 2nd March 10.45-12 noon. Coffee Connect van. Pick up your free coffee, tea or hot choc from the van in The Boot car park then join us for cake in the village hall!

Ted’s Funeral – Tuesday 3rd March at 11.30am in Church.

Next Sunday 6 pm Evening Prayer.

Friday 13th March Lent Lunch 12-1.30 in the Village Hall.
