A Service of Remembrance and Hope

A Service of Remembrance and Hope

The Pandemic is not yet over, but we are now reconciled to living with it. That is what the government advisors suggest is our best conclusion at present. It is impossible to identify the end of this ghastly period any more precisely, but we can begin to look forward whilst at the same time reflecting on the losses and gains of the last two years.

The churches together will be marking this with ‘A Service of Remembrance and Hope’ at Morcott Church on Sunday 17th October at 3pm, the eve of St. Luke’s Day, the patron saint of healing. All are invited from whatever parish.

We will hear from those who have struggled with the very worst excesses of the pandemic, we will name the departed from all the parishes, but we will also cherish the gains which have been identified. To mark this important turning point in our lives we invite you to celebrate with some fizz!
