The Welland-Fosse Benefice: Prayers and Notices.

 Sunday 3 November 2019: the Fourth Sunday before Advent.

Please remember in your prayers those in need: Sara, Joe, Pat Simmonds, and Christine Garland.

In our wider prayers we remember the Deanery of Peterborough and its Rural Dean, Ian Black.

Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday.  Please note the slight changes in service start times – all earlier to accommodate the National Silence.

Saturday, 30 November: Celtic evening at St Peter’s – music from Dick Clarke and       Chris Dunn featuring Scottish, Irish and Transatlantic songs.  £10.  Tickets from Peter Voller.

Friday, 6 December: Quiz Night at St Peter’s – teams of 6, or individuals can join a team £12.50 to include packed supper – contact Carol or Peter to book a table.

MORCOTT:

Remembrance Sunday service 10.55am led by Simon Aley. We hope to have Captain Tom Hall-Wilson, of the Royal Artillery, take part in the service.

SOUTH LUFFENHAM:

Next Sunday Remembrance Service EARLY START AT 9.20am.

REMEMBRANCE LUNCH: Sunday 10th November in the Village Hall 12.30 for 1.00pm   Tickets: Adult £12, children £5, under 5s free.   In aid of the Royal British Legion.  Tickets from Janet and Helen.

‘Still Time’ – a time for quiet prayer (especially for our Church as we think about making improvements to the building) – in Church on Mondays 5.30-6pm. Come and stay for as many minutes as you like.

VILLAGE HALL FUND RAISING EVENT – Saturday 23rd November ‘Back to the 80’s Party Night’ 7.30-11.30pm. Tickets £15 including chili supper (veg option available) from Sally or Tracy.

The story of a water sprite who yearns to be human, succeeds and falls in love with a prince – it is set with gorgeous songs and orchestral scoring!

Dvorak, of New World Symphony fame, at his tuneful best. Renee Fleming heads a great cast at the Opera de Paris.

With English subtitles.
