POETRY EVENING

A huge Thank You to everyone, for making this evening such a success.  From the feedback we have received there is no question that we will have another similar event on 3 October 2020!  Please make a note in your diaries!

The diversity of the content was amazing.  From the opening by the children from St Mary’s & St John’s Primary School, through a Soliloquy by Shakespeare’s Cat to the closing with Mahatma Ghandi.  Between everybody were read/recited just short of 50 poems – spectacular! And the battered and well read books that were unearthed, dusted down and given a chance to entertain again – wonderful!

 

 

 

Thanks also to those who provided much needed sustenance during the evening – what is it about children and chocolate cake?!
