The Welland-Fosse Benefice: Prayers and Notices.

 Sunday 1st December 2019: Advent Sunday

Please remember in your prayers those who are sick:  Brian, Joe, Pat Simmonds, and Christine Garland.

In our wider prayers we continue to remember the Deanery of Peterborough and its Rural Dean, Ian Black. We pray too for wisdom in assessing electoral promises.

Sermons: Have your say! Please take away a questionnaire from the back of the church and return it to the box by 12 December.

Hustings, Oakham Parish Church, Thursday 5 December, 7.30pm.

Friday, 6 December: Quiz Night at St Peter’s – teams of 4 – 6, or individuals can join a team.  £12.50 to include packed supper – contact Carol or Peter to book a table.  Proceeds to church reordering.

DUDDINGTON

December 8th: a concert at Duddington Church 3 pm. in aid of Peterborough Downs Syndrome Group, followed my mulled wine etc.

MORCOTT:

The Christmas Star will shine through the chancel window until Epiphany: bring the grandchildren to see it.

Our next services (led by Christopher) are on the Carol Service at 4pm on Sunday 15 Dec, with Refreshments after (a change to normal – no 11am HC that day) and on Christmas Eve 10pm ‘midnight’ Mass with HC.

SOUTH LUFFENHAM:

Sunday 8th December Mulled Wine and Mince Pies Event 11.30-1pm in the Village Hall. £2.50 entrance (includes mulled wine and a mince pie) – children free!

Sunday 15th December – our 9.30am service will be a Carol Service including building the crib scene.
