The Welland-Fosse Benefice: ZOOM BIBLE STUDY – MARK’S GOSPEL 2021
The Welland-Fosse Benefice:
Zoom Bible Study – Mark’s Gospel – Part 2
After a two month break in Oakham and almost 9 months in the Welland Fosse Benefice the Zoom Bible Study starts again with the two benefices joining together to study the final chapters of the Gospel of Mark. The weekday and time are just as before Tuesdays at 7.30 pm starting on the 9th February and will take us through into Lent starting with the triumphal entry into Jerusalem in Chapter 11 which we study on 16th February but we start on the 9th by looking at the importance of Mark in Lent, going over some of the chapters we have already studied where there might be a Lenten angle.
It does not matter if you have not been to any of the previous studies as each tries to be quite standalone and as before each session lasts 1 hour. The notes will be distributed by email in advance of each week and participants are asked to read the passage from Mark ahead of the session. So all are welcome but if you want to join us please let me know so I can ensure you get all you need and get your Zoom invite.
The sessions will be led by me and I look forward to you joining me as we focus in on the passion narrative in Mark’s Gospel and answer the question; why did Jesus die? So please contact me to join by emailing simon@oakhamteam.org.uk Thank you. Revd. Simon Aley
